Building Works, Inc. founded in 1997 by Ann Schwetye., is a privately held corporation that was originally established to provide property condition assessments to property owners, property management companies and real estate attorneys.

Building Works, Inc. developed a software program that is currently used in the construction industry as a data gathering source for schematics and “as-built” photos and information collected during a property condition assessment. They also have created an electronic version of the traditional close-out manual.

SLBDF invested in Building Works, Inc. in 2005.
