A landmark in the Central West End since 1972, Cafe Balaban was recently purchased by Brendan Marsden, who also owns Modesto - a tapas restaurant located on The Hill. Besides its newly renovated facilities, Balaban's also features a new chef and a new menu.

SLBDF teamed with U.S. Bank to finance the purchase of Balaban's in December, 2006.
